Born and bred in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. I have been involved in various business ventures over the past 30 years – Present Time in Constantia, Bishops/Herschel School Shop, Bishops/Giltedge Travel, Frog Mountain Guest farm and now our new challenge/adventure, “Hermanus Camino”.
I am happily “partnered” with Sam and we have 2 beautiful teenage daughters. We sold Frog Mountain in 2017 and were lucky enough to have chosen Hermanus as our new home – Love Love Hermanus.
It was a natural progression to want to start a new venture in/around our new home – Hermanus Camino was born and I am very excited to be able to impart all my knowledge in making this Camino a very special and sought after week of adventure and introspection.

Born & bred Capetonian. I worked in the steel industry for 35 years, then Onrus, Hermanus beckoned in 2020.
My family and I have so enjoyed what’s on our doorstep – I want other people to revel in it. As all great things should be shared. I’m excited to be involved in a walk that is manageable, beautiful and, most importantly, cathartic for the soul.
I know you’ll love it.

After 30 years in IT, I decided that the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg was not for me and that I needed a lifestyle change. After many years of spending holidays in Hermanus, I naturally made the big move to the Western Cape and broke ground here in the Hemel en Aarde valley.
Little did I know at the time, that in a few years, I would be living my best life in my happy place which not only captured my heart but now makes me want to share this incredible slice of heaven with others.
Come and share in this beautiful experience by walking the way with us on the Hermanus Camino.

A born and bred Capetonian who has always enjoyed different types of sports. My wife, Rebecca, and I moved to Hermanus in 2020. Since moving to Hermanus the realization of what we have on our doorstep and the sheer enjoyment of exploring the mountains of the area led the four of us to the idea of the Hermanus Camino. We wanted to open up our beautiful and diverse environment to others as all great things should be shared. We wanted to create a walk that was both manageable and knowledgeable. We are sure you will enjoy it.
A resident of Hermanus since 2004. I’m a wildlife photographer, tour guide, specialising in whales, birds and the Overberg region. I have authored 2 coffee table books on Southern Right Whales.
I’m just a passionate person and I have a serious love for this part of the world, The Overberg, ocean, fynbos, mountains, birds, whales and its people. I like the simple things in life. With patience, in nature, you will always be rewarded.
