Go to www.hermanuscamino.com and click on the book now button. Scroll through the calendar until you find a suitable 'green/available starting date' which will be either a Sunday, Monday or a Tuesday - click on this date to ascertain the number of spots available and then book for 1-12 people. We take a max of 12 guests - price displayed is either 'per person sharing' or 'per person with single occupancy'. A 'red starting date' means that we are full for that particular Camino. If the starting date is blank (-), then we are not able to run a Camino for that week. You will need to book and pay all 12 spots to have your own exclusive group.
Click on the ‘About’ button on our homepage for all relevant information. The Hermanus Camino is a slackpacking walk and is ALL inclusive, including selected drinks.
The Hermanus Camino is predominantly a walk and not a hike. We have an overall moderate grading. Day 3 involves some steep inclines and declines, but nothing dangerous and no drop-offs.
The Camino is suitable for all ages.
You will be obliged to sign an indemnity form on arrival day.
Littering or destruction of the fauna and flora is strictly prohibited. The farms you are walking through are working farms, and are to be respected as such.
Contact Irene@suregiltedge.com (071 575 6121) for all your flight and airport transfer requirements. If driving to the start, your cars will be securely parked for the duration of your journey. We will keep your keys safe with us. Arrival time at Port del Mar is between 16:00 and 17:00. Arrange flights/transfers accordingly - it is approximately 1.5hr to CT Airport.
Your Camino finishes at Burgundy restaurant in Hermanus at 14:00 - you will be transferred to your cars at 14:30. If you are travelling by shuttle, you can arrange to be collected from Burgundy at 14:00 - we will get your luggage to Burgundy.
We have organised discounted rates at the Windsor Hotel & Marine Hotel for all our Camino walkers to use either before or after the Camino highly recommended. Send them a mail on info@windsorhotel.co.za for the Windsor Hotel or reservations@collectionmcgrath.com for the Marine Hotel and quote the reference 'Hermanus Camino' to claim your discount.
EFT payments are to be settled within 7 days of booking. If we do not receive your deposit within this time frame, your booking will automatically be cancelled. The balance of your payment is due 30 days before arrival.
A full refund of the deposit is applicable if the trip is cancelled 31 days or more prior to your Camino start date. There is strictly no refund during the 30 days before arrival. Consider travel insurance for complete peace of mind.
Hermanus has a very temperate climate and we recommend all the advertised dates as good walking months we do not operate during the rainy season (late June/July) and during the peak school holiday period (Easter/Christmas).
Every season has its charm, from swimming in summer, roaring fires in winter and whales from Aug to Nov. You are signing up for an unforgettable experience no matter the time of the year.
We cater for all dietary requirements. We will send you a mail asking for this info prior to your arrival.

There are no laundry facilities. Luggage to be compact and weigh no more than 15kg.
If you are needing extra bags for pre/onward travel, we will gladly keep these for you for the duration of your journey.

There is Wi-Fi or cell phone reception throughout most of your journey. We will create a 'Whatsapp' group for all participants before your Camino starts - this is for communication and safety.
We welcome any corporate bookings. We are VAT registered.
